Criminal Defense
We have a comprehensive criminal defense practice, which handles criminal trials and appeals in counties throughout New York State and Federal Court. Since many of our clients are people with professional licenses, such as stock brokers and doctors, we are acutely aware of the impact a criminal conviction can have on a license and know how to handle these situations so we can protect our clientsí licenses and livelihoods. We also have broad experience with Driving While Intoxicated cases and are well acquainted with issues surrounding hardship and conditional licenses as well as New York Stateís Zero Tolerance Law, as it applies to drivers under the age of twenty-one. Finally, our criminal defense practice also represents clients facing probation and parole violations.
Real Estate
In our real estate practice we know how stressful buying and selling a home can be for our clients. We keep our clients up to date on the status of their transactions through our Real Estate Client Log-In. The Client Log-In enables our clients to check the status of their transactions twenty four hours a day, seven days a week so they know when to expect to close.
Our law firm is extremely prepared to handle the challenges presented by today's difficult economic times. Our vast experience with foreclosure and short sale transactions gives our real estate clients the best opportunity to successfully complete their transactions.
All real estate closings are billed without a retainer. We charge a low flat fee which is not payable until you close. If the transaction does not close you owe us nothing.
Wills
Many of our clients are people who recently purchased a home and have young children. In order to make sure that their children are protected in the event of a personal tragedy, our clients request that we prepare reciprocal wills for each spouse, which include the names of guardians and successor guardians for their children. Every will we prepare comes complete with a health care proxy, living will and durable power of attorney.
Personal Injury
We have handled hundreds of personal injury claims involving people who have been seriously injured in accidents. Home and hospital visits are available and we retain the necessary investigators, experts and medical professionals to effectively prosecute these cases. All expenses are advanced by our firm and we are paid only if there is a recovery in the case.
Business Law
We serve as General Counsel to companies with over one thousand employees as well as small companies with ten or fewer employees. We assist our business clients with incorporations, and the formation of Limited Liability Corporations, and help them resolve contract disputes. We also help our business clients solicit commercial licenses and permits and defend businesses in license suspension and revocation hearings. Our firm also defends our clients against employment discrimination, Workerís Compensation and general liability accident claims.
